Sort the assessments in the Assessment Widget in date order as default

Currently, assessments are sorted in alphabetical order by first name as the default.

When you are marking assessments in date order, this means you have to resort the list into date order every time you go to mark the next student. This is both frustrating and time-consuming, especially in those times when Axcelerate might be running slow (it does happen from time to time).

We need to have the default set to display in date order.

  Great idea Paul. I'm new to Axcelerate, but I've found that this widget takes the longest time to load as well.

  Awesome idea, it is time-wasting and very frustrating having to refresh the screen and then wait for it to change the order each time you mark a new assessment.

  When marking it can take a while to load and re-fresh as I'm marking. Automatically listing the submitted assessments from oldest to newest, would make the process of marking quicker.

  I think it would be great if we could set our preferences for how this widget displays.  I agree, the page takes a long time to refresh as it is live data, eliminating a few clicks would be awesome! Few clicks for every time you refresh whilst marking ends up being a lot of clicks during a marking session.

  Hi All

  This release (tonight) we have improved the default ordering for the Assessment Widget. The widget will now sort by the Due Date ascending, then the Submission Date ascending, and finally the Name.

  Thank you for your suggestions - we hope this change improves the widget's functionality!
