Online Assessments - autosave responses to prevent lost work

We have many students with unreliable internet that drops in and out regularly during a session. An autosave feature (say every 1 minute) in online quizzes will prevent students losing answers they are part way through writing before having the opportunity to click the save button.

  Sounds like a great idea. Would definitely improve the UX for students.

  Agree, or to prompt to save and continue. 
  I have personally lost responses (when testing) as i have not hit save and continue, but just jumped to the next question in the menu. When i submitted, only the last answer was recorded, and my reattempt was used.
