Ability to change the date on contact notes

I am not sure if anyone else finds this frustrating but not having the ability to change the note inserted date of a note you put in contacts record is becoming painful. We have recently started using the system and finding some data notes did not come across form our old student system. When I add these old notes, it automatically adds them to the top and makes import and and more recent notes fall to the bottom. 

Does this affect anyone else?
